 Workshop on Institutional Analysis

Young scholars worldwide are eligible to apply.

Twenty-­‐six participants will be selected competitively.

Attend this workshop to 
    Hear established institutional scholars discuss research and strategies to formulate questions, develop analysis,and communicate results effectively.

    Present your own research and receive feedback from many sources

      - first within small group with faculty guidance

      ‐after revising,formally to the entire workshop,with assigned discussants.
      -Ten full-­‐time faculty will provide intensive mentoring to the participants.
    Network closely with faculty and other young scholars who have an enduring interest in institutional analysis.  After the daily sessions, enjoy informal conversations with faculty and participants during delicious dinners. The workshop closes with a special event and gala dinner. Upon graduation become part of a worldwide scholarly network with alumni in 69 countries.
 
 Who is eligible?  
   -Postdoctoral social scientists - early in their careers 

   -Advanced graduate students - in economics, political science, management, law,and other social sciences

Selection andattendance

Twenty-­‐six participants will be selected competitively on the basis of their research abstracts,CVs,and references.Work already published is noteligible,and previous participants are note ligible to apply again.

Abstracts will be evaluated on the clarity and importance of the research question,the analysis,and the in stitutional focus.Project swith empirically testable implications are preferred.Admissions decisions will be announced in September. The pace is intense and rewarding.Participants must attend all sessions and give as well as receive feedback.

Costs

The cost of the workshop–tuition,meals,and housing-­‐is $2500USD.(This does not include travel expenses.)Many partial fellowships will be awarded competitively to scholars for whom the workshop cost is a hardship,to cover part of the costs of tuition,meals,and housing.

If you wish to be considered for a fellowship,upload your request for a fellowship with your application.All participants must stay in workshop housing,and all participants are responsible for paying their own travel expenses.
